Wing Chun is an ingenious system that teaches you how to overcome a bigger, stronger opponent using skill, technique and sensitivity. Its principles are based on directness & simplicity & it teaches you how to use your opponent’s strength against them. Our lineage at Wing Chun Brisbane has a direct link to Grandmaster Ip Man and has been passed on to me by Master Michael Tse – one of the most senior students of Grandmaster Ip Chun – Ip Man’s oldest son. The skill is taught in an authentic and traditional Chinese way and has remained pure to the way in which Grandmaster Ip Man taught.
Wing Chun is the Martial Arts for everyone!
Wing Chun differs from other martial arts as it uses an opponents strengths against them. It can be learnt by anyone who has the right attitude and commitment, regardless of age, gender, race or physical capabilities.
Buddhist Nun Ng Mui invented Wing Chun, focusing on technique and timing rather than brute strength and force. For over 300 years, the Wing Chun concept has not changed, and we look forward to working with a variety of eager students to pass on the traditions.
